Whilst the spell can be effective in more hectic fights, the random nature of the cube's bounces can be detrimental to your combat strategy. The Gelatinous Cube spawns, you guessed it, a large cube that bounces around the battlefield, leaving a pool of Poison upon each bounce. This is not only a very unique spell, but is also very versatile and can be used in most combat scenarios.
Think a magical defibrillator.Ī fun spell that is often associated with Fire Damage, this Simple Cast spell shoots out a large toasted marshmallow from your hand which sticks to the target, and after a brief period will explode into multiple smaller marshmallows that act as healing consumables. If this targets an ally, it will heal them and even better, if they are downed, it will instantly revive them. Against the right enemies, this can be devastatingly powerful, but the true utility of this spell comes to the forefront when you are playing Co-Op. The Element depends on which variant of the Barrelmaker you roll, but upon casting the barrel will bounce around a couple of times (or until it makes contact with an enemy) then explode dealing that Element's damage, and creating an AOE pool of the element on the ground for a short duration.Ī Shock spell primarily, this Simple Cast spell sends out a rod of lightning that then subsequently summons down a bolt from the sky at the target location. It can be very quick to recharge for a Spellshot though, and with multiple charges, you can place an orb out every few seconds.Ī Channel Cast spell, the Barrelmaker acts as a portable, re-usable launchable Elemental barrel. Whilst this can be a great CC/AOE option in a pinch, and works well against slow-moving enemies, any opponent that moves fast or flies can easily dodge the beams. This spell is a Channel Cast (hold and release) which summons a floating orb that slowly moves through the environment, shooting out beams/threads of energy that relentlessly fire at enemies.
